Background
The new 49,000 square-foot elementary school for Venice CUSD #3 will feature a pre-K classroom, a kindergarten classroom, eight grade-level classrooms, two special education rooms, a board room, library, computer lab, gymnasium, cafeteria, nine offices, storage areas, a boiler room, and two restroom blocks. The project also includes outdoor facilities such as a soccer field, baseball field, playgrounds, a basketball court, and a 70-space parking lot. Inside, the building will house administrative areas, a nurse’s office, a kitchen with support spaces, and a storm shelter. The school is designed to achieve LEED Silver certification, emphasizing sustainability and energy efficiency.
