A Better Way – Project Case Study
Missouri Baptist University Stadium
Background
Holland completed a $6 million expansion of Missouri Baptist University’s (MBU) Spartan Field to upgrade the facility for intercollegiate athletic competition and wrap up this multi-phase project for MBU.
Holland has been a part of the project since 2014 when the University first announced it was launching a football program and broke ground on the initial practice field and football training facility. This final phase of the project included a new synthetic running track, bleachers, additions to the existing field house, scoreboard, and a pedestrian trail and bridge system to better connect the facility to the main campus.
Holland has worked with MBU on six additional projects over the last ten years, including construction of the on-campus housing complex, Spartan Village, and a remodel of the University’s Jung-Kellogg Library.
Holland’s value engineering has been very much appreciated. Holland and the design team worked together and when the budget and design plans conflicted, they found innovative ways to resolve it.
