A Better Way – Project Case Study
US Bank -Edwardsville
Background
Built on budget and ahead of schedule by Holland Construction Services, the 3,300-square-foot, brick and EIFS building, accented with cast stone and topped with a metal roof, utilized Forest Stewardship Council-certified lumber, guaranteeing that the wood is from a certified well-managed forest. Other steps toward “green” construction include energy efficiency measures and conservation like lighting controls, and heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems to control indoor air quality. Recycled materials were incorporated into the construction and low Volatile Organic Compound paint and carpet were utilized.
Holland’s team of knowledgeable, accredited LEED professionals helped us meet the objectives we were working toward for an environmentally ‘green building’. Everyone at Holland has been very responsive to any needs and concerns, and they all worked hard to meet deadlines, keeping us informed along the way.
